Forward in Faith is the theme of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Baptist Churches 60th Anniversary Annual Meeting. Since 1950, member churches have worked together to plant new churches across the state, and to encourage and edify one another through fellowship. Convening on September 20-21, 2010, this annual meeting will not only be a celebration of ministries through past years, but a challenge to increased effective ministry in the future. First Baptist Church of New Lisbon was the site of the very first annual meeting and we rejoice in their kind invitation to celebrate this important milestone there once again. Many former mission directors and their wives will be sharing memories, including Pastor Leon Leeds, Mrs. Dortha Elkins, Pastor and Mrs. Robert Dow, Pastor and Mrs. Gus Carnes, and Pastor and Mrs. George Cable. Evangelist Dwight Smith will preach in the Monday evening session. In addition, WFBC webmaster, David Vawter, will present a workshop to help pastors inform their congregations about internet social networking.
