WFBC 2010 Ladies’ Retreat

The annual WFBC Ladies’ Retreat was enjoyed by 411 women who traveled from all over Wisconsin to the campus of Maranatha Baptist Bible College on March 26-27, 2010. Main speaker, Mrs. Miriam Marriott, enthusiastically shared Biblical truths about “Adorning the Gospel.” Decorations, music and skits drew attention to the theme, “Accessorize!”

Many workshops were presented by women from around the state, including:

*Ladies’ Choir (Carol Ruffin)

*Inward Adorning (Jan Sturgill)

*There’s Still Work to Do! (Karen Stein)

*Wearing the Hat of Motherhood (Jennifer Markle)

*Smart House, Safe Home (Heather Hershey)

*Ministering to Ministers (LeeAnn Fowler)

*Witness! (Tammi Howell)

*Stand Beside, Not Between! (Gwen & Carole Bender)

*Survival Tips for Home Schooling Moms (Joy Mielke)

*Ideas for Working Women (Carole Gordon)

In addition, ladies were offered the opportunity to peruse the MBBC bookstore and enjoy the Old Main Café. After the Friday evening session, they could choose from activities such as volleyball, singing & prayer time, table games, or card-stamping.

The 2011 WFBC Ladies’ Retreat will be held on the campus of Northland International University in Pembine, Wisconsin on March 18-19. Speaker will be Mrs. Marcia Phillips.
