Evening Ministry at Keystone Baptist Church
Though I was not scheduled for preaching at Keystone Baptist Church I was able to provide a message for the evening service at Keystone. Keystone Baptist Church is seeking a pastor at this time. The church is doing well, but needs a shepherd to lead the flock of God in Wisconsin Dells.
At this time we have a number of churches without pastors. There is a need for committed men who are willing to step into these ministries, including being willing to work an outside job in several of the smaller ministries. Pray for God's direction to these churches as they seek God's man.
Filling the Pulpit at First Baptist Church in New Lisbon
Our ministry on Sunday morning June 28th was at First Baptist Church in New Lisbon. Pastor Delbert Oatsvall is the pastor and he was away for a time of vacation. Carole and I provided special music for the morning service. Also I shared a report of our ministry and preached for the AM service.
First Baptist Church is one of our foundational ministries. It was at First Baptist Church in September 1950 that the first annual meeting of the WFBC (then called Conservative Baptist Association of Wisconsin)was held. We are thankful for the faithful support of this vibrant local church.
Preaching Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church in Sparta
Our ministry on Sunday June 21st was at Calvary Baptist Church in Sparta. This church is pastored by Ron Sherid, and brother Sherid was away allowing us to fill the pulpit for him. Carole provided keyboard assistance for the services and we sang a special number in the morning. During the morning service I presented our ministry by means of power point and preached for both the morning and evening services.
We appreciate the positive response that we received from the church family. The fellowship was warm and shows a church congregation that loves their pastor and one another.
A Sunday at Lakeland Baptist in Crandon
Sunday June 14th we were sharing in the ministry at Lakeland Baptist Church in Crandon. Pastor Dave West leads this flock of believers in the north country. Carole and I provided special music for the service. I presented our ministry by power point and taught a Sunday School lesson. I also preached for the morning service.
We praise the Lord for faithful men who minister in northern towns of Wisconsin. It was a blessing to see the good crowd even with some folks on vacation. The Lord has given the Wests a fruitful ministry in Crandon.
Sunday Services at Northland Baptist Church
Sunday May 31st we were ministering at Northland Baptist Church in Hannibal for the Sunday services. Richard Chromy is the pastor of this local church and he was ministering for the day in Minneapolis with the Camp Chetek Staff. Carole and I provided special music in the morning service, and in Sunday School I presented our ministry through power point and taught a Bible lesson. I also preached for both the AM and PM services as well as giving a brief message in the afternoon nursing home service.
Northland Baptist Church has done a great job in refurbishing the exterior of their building with color coordinated metal siding. They are also planning to add a drive-under canopy for the main entrance. Inside they have painted many walls and they are anticipating a complete renovation of their restrooms as well as replacement of the floor coverings. This former school building is looking great inside and out and will provide an effective tool for expanded ministry in the area. We praise the Lord for evident growth in this rural ministry.
