Sunday, June 11th was a special day for the Wild Rose Baptist Church as they broke ground for a new church building. Pastor Scott Jones is the pastor of the church. I was able to speak during Sunday School with a presentation of the WFBC as well as a Bible lesson on “Building the Wall” from Nehemiah. In the following service I preached from the book of Mark.
The families of Wild Rose Baptist provided a wonderful potluck dinner and then at 1 PM we held the ground breaking service at the new location. This land was purchased in the 1970s and had been used for a modular school building in the past. Pastor Jones led the special service with his key men turning over dirt for the new building. There are still some details to be worked out, but they plan to build yet this summer.
Wild Rose is a small community with limited resources. It is always a blessing to see these smaller area churches growing and making progress in their ministry. Keep posted for continued progress on this project.
