A New Building at Faith Baptist in Rhinelander

New Building at Rhinelander

On Sunday July 2nd, Faith Baptist Church moved into their new building. Faith Baptist is led by Pastor Mark Ring and is a new church plant that held their charter service just over a year ago, June 26th, 2005. They had been renting a facility for services, but they were in need of a permanent location. We were able to share in the music for that first service and bring a brief challenge to those present.

First Baptist Church in Rhinelander was in the process of closing down due to limited participation and membership. This church had been the historic “English speaking Baptist church” in the city and had been affiliated in the past with the liberal American Baptist Churches denomination. They voted as a church to disband and give their building and contents to Faith Baptist Church.

In talking with one of the members of Faith, he said that he had been praying for a building within a year. With the closing just a few days before July 2006, that prayer was answered.

Following Sunday School and the Morning Worship Service the church families provided a delicious carry-in dinner held in the church fellowship hall. After the meal the congregation gathered for a testimony and praise service remembering our nation, the Word of God, our salvation and our Lord Jesus Christ. It was a fitting close to the first Sunday in their new building.
