Celebrating Fifty Years of Ministry in Spooner

Spooner Baptist Church celebrated fifty years of ministry in Spooner. Pastor Jim Frisby and the families of Spooner Baptist enjoyed a wonderful anniversary Sunday on September 23rd with several former pastors (Pastor is the tenth pastor) and former members and friends. They recently completed a new auditorium which was full for the service. Evangelist Glen Jaspers spoke begining a week of meetings at Spooner Baptist as well.

I taught the adult and teen Sunday School and showed my WFBC power point presentation followed by Dr. Jaspers in the AM service. Following the morning service the church provided a delicious barbecue chicken dinner for all who were present. A number of area churches came for the dinner and afternoon service including: Pastor Mielke and folks from First Baptist in Milltown, Pastor Garry Thompson from Faith Baptist in Baldwin, families from First Baptist in Hillsdale, and a representative from Camp Chetek. The afternoon service provided a testimony time for former pastors and members of the congregation. We wish the folks of Spooner Baptist Church another fifty years of ministry if the Lord tarries His coming.
