First Anniversary at Manitowoc Baptist Church

On Sunday November 18th, Manitowoc Baptist Church celebrated its first year anniversary under the leadership of Pastor Ron O’Bryon. The O’Bryons have recently moved into the church parsonage at MBC. Carole and I provided special music for the AM service and I taught Sunday School and preached for the AM service. Following the service we shared a lunch at the church for those who were present.

The Anniversary Service began at 2:00 PM with music provided by the Legerwood family on the keyboard and strings. Pastor Paul Hoover of Souls Harbor Baptist Church in Milwaukee led the singing for the service. Dr. Robert Loggans and I gave challenges to the church and pastor and for the dedication of the building. Two other pastors were present and participated as well including: Pastor Bill Lobb, Berean Baptist Church in Manitowoc; Pastor Rob Spurgeon, Calvary Baptist Church in Kaukauna. After the service the church provided a delicious lunch with a special anniversary cake and sweet fellowship.

We thank God for this new church in Manitowoc. The WFBC had attempted a church plant in the Manitowoc/Two Rivers a number of years ago which failed. However, with this new church and Berean Baptist Church we now have two churches reaching this area.
