Workers’ Seminar and Ministry at Wyldewood Baptist in Oshkosh

On Saturday and Sunday March 8th and 9th Carole and I were involved in ministry at Wyldewood Baptist Church in Oshkosh. Pastor Randy King is the pastor of this dynamic church. In addition to a Christian school they have a printing ministry under the leadership of Jim Hoffman and a Bible literature distribution organization with their own plane.

We were asked to teach a Church Workers’ Seminar on Saturday AM for their members involved in various church ministries. I taught a session on “Practicing What You Preach” as a challenge to the spiritual walk and loyal support of the local church by the workers. Carole provided some key illustrations and insight to this session. During the second hour I challenged teachers to “Pastor Your Class” adopting pastoral principles to those in teaching venues. Carole did a session at the same time for church keyboard people entitled “The Pianist’s Toolbox.” In the final session Carole and I shared duties in teaching workers how to develop Bible lessons for Sunday School, children’s church, men’s or women’s meetings, etc. There were close to 50 who attended these sessions and we enjoyed great fellowship during this time of ministry.

On Sunday I presented the ministry of the WFBC and taught a Bible lesson during Sunday School. Carole was able to assist in the keyboard ministry during the AM service and I preached the morning message. We enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship and ministry at Wyldewood Baptist during these two days with Pastor King and his wife Lori. Praise the Lord for an active, missionary minded local church.
