A Sunday Ministry at Harbor Lights Baptist in Ashland

Sunday September 14 we ministered at Harbor Lights Baptist Church in Ashland. Pastor Randy Hoffman is the pastor of this two-year old church. Carole was asked to help with the keyboard accompanyment and we provided special music. I taught Sunday School and preached for both the AM and afternoon services as well as showing our WFBC power point. The church is adding faith promise to their missions program and so I addressed it in the afternoon service. Following the morning service the church provided a delicious carry in dinner. The dinner provided an opportunity for some personal fellowship with individual church members.

It was a blessing to see the progress of this local church after only two years of organized ministry. Harbor Lights Baptist was started by the Havenwood Baptist in Hurley under the direction of Pastor Kevin Holland. In fact last year Pastor Holland was providing pastoral leadership for both ministries until February of 2008 when Pastor Hoffman was called as pastor.

It is a blessing to see this new church excited about missions and supporting four missionary ministries at this time. They are still meeting in rented quarters, but God is providing growth as they reach families in the Ashland area. Pray for this new ministry that they might experience stability and growth.
