Filling the Pulpit at Spooner Baptist Church

Sunday August 7th we drove up to Spooner Baptist Church for their AM Services. Jim Frisby is the pastor of this local church, though he has recently resigned. His wife Marleita suffered a stroke on Independence Day weekend and after several weeks in the hospital had come home on Friday.

Carole was able to provide an offertory for the service. I taught Sunday School and preached for the Morning Service as well. Following the service we enjoyed a dinner with a number of church families, after which I met with the pulpit committee. They are actively working to find a replacement for Pastor Frisby.

Be in prayer for the churches without a pastor. There are nine open churches at this time. We are working with several of them to assist in getting another pastor.
