Sunday October 16th we had our first chance to visit at the newly formed Lakeshore Baptist Church in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. Ray Anderson is the pastor of this recently planted local church and Bay City Baptist Church is the reproducing church.
Pastor Anderson asked me to share a report of the church planting ministry of the WFBC. Carole and I also provided special music for the service. It was a blessing to see a number of folks from the area who are attending as well as several from Bay City Baptist Church.
Pastor Ray taught Sunday School and preached for the AM Service. Following the service the church held its first fellowship dinner. The Lord has provided a location in the downtown of Kewaunee. Much work has gone into the preparation and renovation of this building to make a very suitable church auditorium, nursery and one classroom.
Lakeshore Baptist Church began Bible studies during the summer. They held a Get Acquainted Meeting on September 13th and their first public service on September 18th with 41 in attendance. Currently their attendance is in the upper twenties with a number of folks from the area attending. Pray for this new church that God would bless them with growth, spiritual progress and a strong impact on this needy area with the gospel.
