Sunday October 30th Manitowoc Baptist Church celebrated their fifth anniversary. Ron O’Bryon is the pastor of this local church ministry. I taught in Sunday School as well as presenting our ministry. For the morning service I preached on Paul’s message to the Ephesian elders in Acts 20:24, where he said, “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” Our ministry needs to be a ministry of joy.
Following the AM Service we had a delicious carry-in dinner provided by the congregation. The afternoon service was an “Old Fashioned Hymn Sing” with favorite hymns and music selections by the Victorious Brass Quintet. The quintet is made up of five members of several WFBC churches. Pastors Phil Ace of Milwaukee Baptist in Butler and Ray Anderson of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Kewaunee and Bill Lobb of Berean Baptist Church in Manitowoc participated in the afternoon service as well. The afternoon service closed out with a pie and coffee reception.
Brother O’Bryon founded the church in 2006. At that time he had located a vacant church property with three separate buildings and a large parking area and was able to purchase that property. The church has grown over the five years and is actively ministering in the Manitowoc community. Manitowoc Baptist Church along with Berean Baptist Church are working together to evangelize the twin cities of Manitowoc and Two Rivers. Praise the Lord for faithful believers who have a burden to reach the cities of Wisconsin.
