Health Care Workers Appreciation Sunday

On Sunday February 19th I participated in a special Health Care Workers Appreciation Sunday at my home church, Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown. Bob Loggans is the pastor of this local church ministry. A number of members of Calvary are involved in the health care field and it was an opportunity to show a special recognition of their work. There were twenty plus health care workers who were recognized and given a New Testament. In addition to church members there were several guest health care workers who were invited and attended.

I have worked as an EMT since 1995 to the present with the Lake Mills EMS and since 2004 with the Lebanon EMS, were I now live. Two members of our Lake Mills squad came for this special service. Pastor Loggans preached from Psalm 139 on a message entitled “Spiritual Health Care.” This special service provided an opportunity to honor those who work in the health care field as well as providing a potential outreach to fellow health care providers.
