Sunday February 3rd we were visiting at Wyldewood Baptist Church in Oshkosh. On Sunday the church installed a new senior pastor, Jason Brenenstuhl. Pastor Randy King has led the church over the past twenty-five years and he will be moving into the position of Missions Pastor.
During Sunday School a number of members of the church shared testimonies of their time and ministry at Wyldewood, including a recorded testimony by former pastor, Howard Nelson who is suffering from cancer. Pastor King preached a message in the morning service, his last as senior pastor. Following a lunch provided by the church the installation service took place at 1:30 PM. Special music, congregational singing and a message by Pastor Brenenstuhl’s former youth pastor rounded out the afternoon. The service closed with the laying on of hands of Pastor Brenenstuhl by the pastors present and Mrs. Brenenstuhl by their wives. It was a special day of celebration for the Wyldewood congregation.
Pastor Brenenstuhl and his wife Heather and their five children have been a part of Wyldewood Baptist Church since 2007 in the capacity of Assistant Pastor. Heather’s parents are members of the church, and Pastor King had chosen Jason as his first choice of a replacement. Over the past five years they have developed a smooth working relationship, and Pastor King is looking forward to working for his new boss. We wish Wyldewood Baptist Church well as they continue in their fifth decade of ministry in the city of Oshkosh.
