A Weekend Ministering in the Northland

On Saturday Carole spoke at a Ladies Tea at the Woodruff Baptist Church. Margie Smith is the pastor’s wife who hosted the meeting. There were close to thirty ladies who attended. While the ladies were meeting I had the opportunity to fellowship with Dave and Scott Smith, pastors in Ladysmith and Woodruff, as well as with the former pastor of Woodruff, Brother James Patterson. Following the meeting Carole and I drove over to Rhinelander to Mark and Lori Ring’s home. There we enjoyed overnight lodging and meals with the Rings.

Sunday morning Carole was able to provide an offertory for the AM Service and I shared the DVD and gave a brief report of our ministry. We were able to participate in a Lord’s Supper Service that morning as a part of the AM Service.

It was a blessing to be in the services at Faith Baptist Church in Rhinelander. I well remember meeting with Pastor Tim Collard and several other men at the Culvers Restaurant in Rhinelander in the fall of 2004 when we talked over the potential of seeing a church plant in Rhinelander. The church began holding services in 2005 and God gave them a fully-furnished modern church building just a year later. Today Faith Baptist Church is fully supported and seeing continued grow in their community outreach. Pray for our church planting ministries, that God would continue to bless and prosper their efforts for the cause of Jesus Christ.
