Twenty-fifth Anniversary at Park City Baptist Church

Sunday October 19th we participated in the twenty-fifth anniversary of the founding of Park City Baptist Church in Merrill. Freddy McMillen is the pastor of this local church ministry.

Park City Baptist Church was found in the fall of 1989 under the leadership of Pastor David Milleson. The Millesons moved to Merrill for the purpose of starting the church after pastoring Wild Rose Baptist Church. The WFBC assisted in the church plant with monthly support and personal involvement by Dr. Leon Leeds who was the director at that time. Brother Milleson has since passed away but his wife Nancy was able to be present for the anniversary and she was recognized and given a corsage.

The anniversary activities included the AM Service message by Dr. Leon Leeds, a delicious ham and turkey dinner provided by the church congregation and an afternoon testimony service. The Afternoon Service included testimonies by a number of church members and I was able to share the church planting ministry of the WFBC, particularly as it pertained to the founding of Park City Baptist Church. An additional feature for the day was the Heritage Singers from Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown. They provided music for both the AM and Afternoon Services. Praise the Lord for twenty-five years of faithful ministry in Merrill.
