Fifth Sunday at Shawano Baptist Church

On Sunday September 6th we were ministering at Shawano Baptist Church on the fifth Sunday of its new existence. Matthew Weber is the pastor of this new ministry and along with his wife Megan and two children they are pioneering this work. Calvary Baptist church in Shawano has existed over the past twenty years but it had closed over two years ago.

During the morning services Carole was able to assist with music on the keyboard. In Sunday School I shared a brief statement of the history of the WFBC and showed our DVD video. Following that I taught a Bible lesson on the Local Church of the New Testament. Pastor Weber preached for the morning service. There were about twenty present for the service.

The Lord has provided an excellent building to rent just adjacent to the junction of Hwy 29 and 22 in downtown Shawano. It is adequate for their beginning and may allow them to move into the other half of the building in the future. They are attempting to contact every home with a copy of John/Romans and already have developed a list of prospects. Pray for this new ministry as they take the important steps of founding this local church ministry.
