Building Dedication at Harbor Lights Baptist Church

Harbor Light Baptist Church in Ashland held a building dedication Sunday August 20th for their recently purchased building in that community. They had been without a church home since their former rented facilities had been sold. In the recent months they had used the building of another congregation which was in the process of disbanding. Thanks to the faithfulness of the church congregation during some challenging months, the ministry of Eternal Vision and some other church ministries contributions they were able to get a down payment for the purchase of the disbanded church’s building.

For the Sunday services I spoke in Sunday School with a challenge on the church from I Timothy 3:15. Dr. David Sorenson who is the retired pastor of Northstar Baptist Church in Duluth, MN, spoke for the AM and Afternoon Service. Following the morning service the church provided a dinner for all who were in attendance. During the Afternoon Service Pastor Steve Newman of Havenwood Baptist Church brought greeting from his congregation. Harbor Lights Baptist Church was started out of Havenwood Baptist under the leadership of its former pastor, Kevin Holland.
